In My Mind Conference

We believe our young LGBTQ+ peoples of color deserve a future that is free from discrimination, shame, stigma, and have a right to live in communities that nurture their growth.

Usually, the In My Mind Conference is a two-day forum; except for the COVID-19 Pandemic, for the past two years it was an online one-day forum. The Conference brings together mental health consumers, clinicians, students, and academics from across the region, nation and the globe to encourage a rare cross-pollination of concerns and experiences, and to provide opportunities to speak with and listen to each other as they raise, explore and discuss the many subject areas affecting LGBTQ+/Same-Gender Loving (SGL) peoples of color mental health.

IMM22, the eight annual Conference will take place on Friday, October 7, 2022. This one-day hybrid (limited in-person and online) program will feature Keynote Speakers, Panel Discussions, Workshops, performance and exhibitions.

In My Mind Day

Celebrating the Conference’s 5th Anniversary, NYC’s Mayor declared October 10 In My Mind Day, and NY State’s Governor issued a Citation recognizing the Conference as essential to LGBTQ+ Communities in the State.

Sponsors & Community Partners

In My Mind Conference is honored by, and grateful for the support from our sponsors, some who are longstanding and others who are recent, and who recognize the Conference's importance and the need for increased mental health awareness for LGBTQ+ peoples of color in their companies and organizations.

Together We Are @ The Table

Together We Are @ The Table is a reception DBGM hosts on the eve of the In My Mind Conference to encourage networking among Sponsors, Community Partners, Speakers, and Presenters. Attendees exchange thoughts and ideas in an informal setting, further preparing the grounds for the next-day’s Conference.

On special occasions, Together We Are is an opportunity for DBGM and IMM recognize and honor organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to LGBTQ+ people of color communities and to the Conference.
